Care Coordinator

Salary: £24,461 - £26,669 (35 hour per week, permanent contract).

We are hiring! A very fulfilling and challenging role at the heart of our Care Department. Reporting to the Care Manager, the Care Coordinator provides support and supervision to Care Staff, ensuring the day-to-day delivery of the Care at Home and Respite services in Uist, from Eriskay to Berneray.

The Care Coordinator is the organisation’s lead for overall rota management for all of our care staff across the islands. This role is responsible for the management of the care staff rota, ensuring that it is arranged in advance, communicated to carers and clients, and is set out in a clear structure that prioritises cost efficiency and healthy working arrangements for staff.

Supervising a team of carers, the Care Coordinator provides support and oversight to ensure that our care services are delivered timeously, and at the highest standards. The Care Coordinator’s responsibilities include developing care plans and risk assessments and rearranging them as necessary when difficulties arise, reviewing them accordingly and recording on a care system.

A further key aspect of the role is ensuring that the quality of Tagsa Uibhist’s care services always meet National Care Standards, by providing support and supervision to Care Staff as directed by the Care Manager, and by conducting visits to service users and meeting with their representatives.
